Choosing the correct size air conditioner unit or heat pump

Air conditioner :

How many BTU's  do I need ?

1m2 -16m2 area:

9000 BTU if placed in a closed off area without a lot of windows.

12000 BTU if placed in a room with big windows, high ceilings and wide open spaces.

20m2- 25m2 area:

18000 BTU if placed in a room with big windows, high ceilings and wide open spaces.

12000 BTU if placed in a closed off area without a lot of windows.

30m2- 40m2 area:

24000 BTU if placed in an area with big windows, high ceilings and wide open spaces.

18000BTU if placed in a closed off area without a lot of windows.

45m2-56m2:

36000 BTU if placed in a room with big windows, high ceilings and wide open spaces.

30000 BTU if placed in a closed off area without a lot of windows.

Heat pumps for domestic water heating :

3.2KW =  100-150L Geyser

5.1KW =  100-300L Geyser

7.4KW =  250-500L Geyser

 

Heat pumps for pool water heating :

Volumes are indicative and serves as a guideline only.

Calculated at maximum temperature (30 Degrees Celsius) with a fitted pool blanket on a standard pool without "rim-flow" design.

3.5 KW  = Up to 15 000L

4.5 KW  = Up to 25 000L

7.6KW   = Up to 35 000L

10KW    = Up to 50 000L

13KW    = Up to 64 000L

16KW    = Up to 80 000L
